13 Years Old
This exquisite 13-year-old single malt boasts a profusion of sweet aromas, characterised by notes of almonds, marzipan, and vanilla, a result of its maturation in American oak barrels over thirteen years. Following this, it undergoes a finishing period in remarkable Hungarian Tokaj sweet wine casks, infusing it with opulent flavours of ripe apricot flesh, white peach, and a subtle hint of coconut. The culmination is a gentle spiciness that enriches the overall experience. This remarkable whiskey is best savoured neat, perhaps with a mere drop of water to enhance its nuances further.

The Dublin Liberties Irish Whiskey - Murder Lane Story 1/3

The Dublin Liberties stands proudly as an esteemed collection of award-winning Irish Whiskeys, masterfully curated to epitomise timeless sophistication and premium quality. This distinguished range comprises five exceptional whiskeys, three of which were unveiled alongside the inauguration of The Dublin Liberties Distillery.

MURDER LANE - 13 YEARS OLD IRISH WHISKEY

The Dublin Liberties Murder Lane is a 13-Year-Old single malt Irish hiskey. It exudes a captivating bouquet of almonds, marzipan, and vanilla, courtesy of its maturation in American oak barrels. This exceptional whiskey delights the palate with robust flavours of ripe apricot, white peach, and subtle hints of coconut, a result of its resting period in Tokaj Hungarian sweet wine casks. Its finish is characterised by a dryness complemented by gentle spices. Named after an unmarked alleyway known as Murdering Lane, which links Bow Street and James Street, this whiskey pays homage to its historical roots. Situated near infamous thoroughfares such as Cut Throat Lane and Catpurse Lane, it forms a part of the renowned Forty Steps of the Liberties, despite being only 39 in total. Historical evidence and folklore suggest that during the early 1600s, Murdering Lane bore witness to numerous unfortunate events involving men, women, and children.

The Dublin Liberties Irish Whiskey - Murder Lane Story 3/3

THE LIBERTIES, DUBLIN CITY

The Dublin Liberties Distillery stands proudly in the heart of Dublin's historic distilling district, known as the Liberties—a place where every cobblestone holds a tale of its own. History runs deep within its walls, serving as the very foundation for the hardworking people of Dublin, regardless of their station in society. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the Liberties thrived as a melting pot of creativity, intellect, and craftsmanship, defying conventional norms. This area, once dubbed 'Hell', was a vibrant yet untamed enclave just beyond the city's walls, renowned for its raucous spirit and endless excitement lurking around every corner. Yet amidst the chaos, industriousness flourished. Amidst the distilleries stood weaving mills, forges, printing presses, tanneries, and clandestine taverns. Here, artisans, commoners, and aristocrats mingled freely, drawn by the allure of boundless opportunity and unbridled freedom.
