The Dead Rabbit Irish Whiskey
The Dead Rabbit Irish Whiskey is an intense blend of malt and grain whiskeys, serving five long years in bourbon casks before a finish in “half-sized” virgin American oak barrels for an extra kick of spice. A light and aromatic nose with toasted oak notes and a hint of caramel. The palate is deep and rich, finishing with a thump of vanilla. An Irish Whiskey heart with a burst of bourbon attitude - the perfect base for formidable cocktails or enjoyed neat/ on the rocks.
What Does it Taste Like?
Caramel and vanilla sit up front, with notes of nutmeg, milky coffee and macadamia developing in the background.
About The Dead Rabbit Irish Whiskey
THE GANGS OF NEW YORK
In the mid- to late-1800s, many of New York’s poorest areas were riven by violent gang warfare. In the lower Manhattan area was the poorest and most squalid area of all, The Five Points.
This was a slum of disease, depravity and destitution. And it was here that the most famous – or notorious – gangs of all ruled the streets.
THE DEAD RABBITS
The Dead Rabbits were a notorious Irish immigrant street gang whose sworn enemies were the nativist anti-immigrant Bowery Boys. Their antagonism came to a head in a notorious riot that raged for days in 1857.
Up to a thousand gang members were involved before order was finally restored. The leader of the Dead Rabbits was John Morrissey, a notorious figure who would later go on to become a Democratic congressman and senator.

Great customer service
I had a problem with delivery as is not received it despite being informed it was with the courier. The problem was very quickly resolved with a replacement received the next day along with a complementary gift. The whiskey is very nice too. I’ve realised I prefer Irish whiskey to scotch!
Great price and service.
Looking for a more unusual Irish Whiskey , I saw Dead Rabbit at a good offer price from Neat and Shaken. Unfortunately the bottle got broken in transit during the first delivery attempt, but a 2nd delivery was prompt and arrived in one piece.
I tried to give six stars
What a surprise! Excellent Irish whiskey. Smooth and rounded taste.
Wow what a whiskey!
I have to admit I am not a huge whiskey fan, but when a friend served me one of these I was so surprised, I loved it! She served it to me loads of ice, a squeeze of lime and topped with ginger beer, just delicious! Hence the need to buy some more, would highly recommend!
