A ROUGH JOURNEY

In 2010, despite their lack of prior experience, Olli Hietalahtti and Jouko Laune took a leap into the unknown, setting out to craft a brand that blended laughter with seriousness. Inspired by a humorous idea involving the Spanish word for rum and the well-known personality Ron Jeremy, they laid the foundation of what would become an unpredictable adventure. Their journey was paved by numerous setbacks including a devastating fire, betrayals and financial ruin, but the two men never gave up, thanks to a common taste for laughter, a lifelong friendship and an unwavering commitment to their brand. They avoided bankruptcy multiple times, demonstrating their entrepreneurial spirit and love for the rum world. However the arrest of Ron Jeremy marked the end of their brand’s humour-based identity.

A FRESH START

Refusing to succumb to adversity, they created a new brand reflecting their journey of resilience and determination. Their story serves as a testimony to their ability to rise stronger from every setback they encountered. With the downfall of their original brand’s name, "Ron Jeremy", Hietalahtti and Laune were forced to confront the end of an era. They therefore embarked on a new chapter with Come Hell or High Water Rum. Inspired by their own tumultuous journey, this new brand symbolised resilience in the face of adversity. With each sip, drinkers are invited to embrace life’s challenges with determination and optimism, echoing the indomitable spirit of its creators.
